According to BlockBeats, on April 22, the DePIN project Roam (formerly MetaBlox) recently received investment from Samsung Next again after completing a US$5 million strategic round of financing at the end of 2023. This investment will further promote Roam's construction in the DeWi track ecosystem and global WiFi roaming network nodes. Driven by Roam's decentralized solution, the global WiFi roaming network has begun to take shape. Samsung Next stated that Samsung and Roam, as members of the WBA organization, have a common vision of achieving seamless WiFi global roaming, and Roam's innovative Web3 solution provides the last piece of the puzzle for the landing of the OpenRoaming™ network. With the support of Saumsung Next, Roam will accelerate the construction of a unified global decentralized WiFi roaming network, reshape the WiFi connection experience, and build a safer and more friendly user ecosystem. As of now, Roam has received investments from many well-known institutions including Anagram, Volt Capital, Comma3 Ventures, ECMC Group, Awesome People Ventures, Stratified Capital, DePIN Labs, Future 3 Campus, IoTeX, ZC capital, JDI, Synergis and SNZ.
