Faraway acquires Yuga Labs’ two major game IPs “HV-MTL” and “Legends of the Mara”

According to BlockBeats, on April 18, the game studio Faraway announced on the X platform the acquisition of two major game IPs "HV-MTL" and "Legends of the Mara" from Yuga Labs. The acquisition is part of Faraway's strategy to build an interoperable game ecosystem. In the future, new point systems and more integrations will be introduced in these two games to further enhance the IP. It is reported that the new "HV-MTL Points" and "LoTM Points" will be added to the NFT metadata and support cross-game interactions within the Faraway network. In addition, Faraway also announced the appointment of Web3 game veteran Spencer Tucker as Chief Product Officer. BlockBeats previously reported that in November 2021, Faraway completed a $21 million Series A financing round, led by FTX and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from a16z, Solana, Jump Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Pantera Capital.
