According to Foresight News, according to TechCrunch, Taproot Wizards, an Ordinals project focusing on Bitcoin, announced the completion of US$7.5 million in financing, led by Standard Crypto, with participation from Geometry, Collider Ventures, StarkWare, UTXO Management, Bitcoin Frontier Fund, Masterkey and Newman Capital. This round of funds will be used to rebuild Bitcoin’s “Wizard Village”, symbolizing its desire to compete with blockchains such as Ethereum and Solana. Taproot Wizards aims to reawaken the culture of building and innovating on Bitcoin. The project is limited to 2,121 Wizards NFTs, a number that symbolizes 21 million of the total supply of Bitcoin. Currently, less than 1% of Taproot Wizards' Ordinals have been minted. Wertheimer says they're keeping their release cadence low to avoid the hype quickly fading, and instead hope to find people who are truly committed to the mission, rather than just focusing on JPEG images.
