Taproot Wizards raises $7.5 million for its Bitcoin Ordinals project, led by Standard Crypto

BlockBeats news, on November 16, Tech Crunch reported that Taproot Wizards, an Ordinals project focusing on Bitcoin, recently announced that it has successfully raised US$7.5 million. This round of financing was led by Standard Crypto. Other investors include Geometry, Collider Ventures, StarkWare, UTXO Management, Bitcoin Frontier Fund, Masterkey and Newman Capital. This round of funding will be used to rebuild Bitcoin’s “Wizard Village,” symbolizing its desire to compete with major blockchains such as Ethereum and Solana. Taproot Wizards’ goal is to reawaken the culture of building and innovating on Bitcoin. The project issued a limited number of 2,121 Wizard NFTs, a number that symbolizes 21 million of the total Bitcoin supply. Currently, less than 1% of Taproot Wizards' Ordinals have been minted. Wertheimer says they're keeping their release cadence low to avoid the hype quickly fading, and instead hope to find people who are truly committed to the mission, rather than just focusing on JPEG images.
